The Client
Concentric AI is a Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform that uses artificial intelligence to autonomously discover, classify, and protect sensitive data — PII, financial records, and intellectual property — across cloud and on-premises environments. Unlike legacy tools that rely on manual tagging or rigid rules, Concentric AI understands data in context, making security smarter and faster.
The Challenge
Concentric AI needed a 2-minute brand overview video for their website landing page. As a SaaS company, there's no factory floor to film — the challenge was making a genuinely complex enterprise security platform visually engaging and easy to understand before visitors clicked away. The video needed to explain a lot, fast, without losing anyone along the way.
The Approach
Concentric AI came prepared — they brought a polished voiceover script and gave us access to their Figma brand system so every frame stayed on-brand. We chose a fully custom motion graphics style built around their existing visual identity. Clean, modern, and built to move fast. But the centerpiece of the video was always going to be Connie, their robot mascot.
The Connie problem. Concentric AI had a single 2D illustration of Connie — a flat PNG of their mascot. Charming, but static. To make her work across a two-minute video that needed to hold attention, she had to move. There was no 3D model, no rigged character file — just one image.
The Work
We brought Connie into Adobe Illustrator and manually separated her into individual components — head, eyes, arms, torso, legs — each on its own layer. That gave us a fully controllable character we could then animate in After Effects: blinking, gesturing, reacting, walking through the narrative. What started as a flat mascot became the anchor of the entire video. It's the kind of problem-solving that doesn't show up in a deliverables list but makes all the difference in the final product.
